Jury Members

Yenal Gökyıldırım graduated from Yıldız Technical University, Department of Mechanical Engineering in 1990. Until he started to work in MediaMarkt, he worked as a manager in various companies like Philips Electronics, Dogan Online, LC Waikiki. In 2015, he joined the Executive Committee as MediaMarkt Turkey CEO and in 2018, he was assigned as MediaMarktSaturn Retail Group’s Extended Executive Board Member and as Vice President of Operations Region East who is responsible from Greece, Sweden and Turkey. Besides he became CEO of MediaMarkt Greece, he also continues his role as CEO of MediaMarkt Turkey.

Martin Wild founded the online electronic store Home of Hardware (hoh.de) in 1997 at the age of 18 and sold it a decade later to Premiere. Since 2011 he had been in the management of MediaMarktSaturn such as Vice President Multichannel, he handled the launch of saturn.de, his subsequent positions including CEO of redcoon. From 2014 until 2018, in his role as Chief Digital Officer, he headed the digital strategy and transformation of the entire MediaMarktSaturn Retail Group. As one of the pioneers of digital retail, he was included in Handelsbaltt’s list of the 100 smartest people in Germany. Also he is editor and author of the book “Digitization in Retail: Business Models, Trends and Best Practice”. He is the Chief Innovation Officer (CINO) of MediaMarktSaturn Retail Group since January 2018.

Sonja Moosburger is COO of MediaMarktSaturn N3XT, a subsidiary of the biggest consumer electronics retailer in Europe with brands like MediaMarkt and Saturn. Since 2014 Sonja is testing new technologies such as robots and instore navigation with her team. She is also involved in the digitization of business models and processes as well as the related opportunities for the MediaMarktSaturn Group. Sonja worked in digitization and retail even before joining the MediaMarktSaturn Group. With a graduation in business administration specializing in retail, her previous positions include management consultant at IBM Germany, where she focused on strategy consulting.

Murat Gigin graduated from University of Bradford Department of Civil Engineering in 1974. He started his career at Tekfen İnşaat as a civil engineer and he worked as a coordinator for various international projects. Then, he became General Manager of Tekfen İnşaat, Board Member of Tekfen Taahhüt Group and Tekfen Holding companies. Also he had lots of important roles in Tekfen Group companies. Since 2015, he became CEO of Tekfen Holding. Gigin is also Vice Chairman of ANG Yatırım Holding A.Ş. In the past, Gigin worked for non-governmental organizations and he is still Board of Trustees member, KMD(Kategori Mağazacılığı Derneği), EDRA(European DIY – Retail Association) and GHIN(Global Home Improvement Network) Board member.

Salih Zeki Sarıdanişmet graduated from Department Radio, TV and Cinema of Istanbul University. He started to work as a journalist in IHA news agency. During 1996 -2000 he created news and operation department in IHA while becoming a News Editor-in-Chief. In 2000 he managed DHA’s (Dogan News Agency) journalist group during operation of war in Afghanistan. In 2004 Sarıdanişmet started new position in DHA’s Washington DC office; creating own production studio. In 2015 he was appointed as a Head of Turkic States News Department in Anadolu News Agency, Turkey’s biggest news agency. Starting from 2016, he started new initiative with DHA creating New Media and Projects department as a Director. Sarıdanişmet was appointed as DHA General Director in 2018.

Dr. Fatoş Karahasan is giving classes for Marketing Communication and Digital Marketing in Istanbul Bilgi University. For 14 years, she had been a manager for international advertising companies, then now she is part of ad agency competitons, product launches, product strategies and researching projects as management consultant of national and international companies. Karahasan does speeches about marketing, communication and management. She translated two different books about advertising and political marketing into Turkish. Beside the books she contributed like “Siyasetin Pazarlaması”, she wrote four different books named “Vasat Reklamdan Nasıl Kurtulunur?”, “Taşlar yerinden Oynarken, Dijital Pazarlamanın Kuralları” , “Akla ve Kalbe Giden İletişim Yolları” and “Açılın Gençler Geliyor”. Also she is a columnist in Dünya, Start Up and cnnturk.com.

Fatoş Karahasan

Münir Kundakçı graduated from Boğaziçi University, Department of Electrical Engineering. He worked for Siemens Business Services as Business Development Manager. During his tenure, he signed the largest IT Outsourcing deal of the time, initiated off-shoring services via a global contract, and established an 1,500 people strong outsourcing business. In 2006, Kundakçı joined Microsoft Turkey as Small Midmarket Solutions and Partners Director where he quadrupled the business in 6 years. In 2012 Kundakçı moved to Microsoft South Africa and established the largest Small and Midmarket cloud business of the region. Then, he became the Hosting and Managed Services Providers Director for Microsoft Middle East and Africa, worked with hybrid cloud partners. Since 2018 he is the Marketing and Operations Director of Microsoft Turkey.

Kaan Akin, an entrepreneur, founded and managed more than 20 startups. Since 2015 founded Hackquarters, startup accelerator and corporate innovation Launchpad. Before starting Hackquarters launched bunch of products at Yandex, managed digital media at PepsiCo. Kaan is a founding partner at TRAngels Angel Investment Network.Now working with more than 40 leading multinational companies; and having more than 150 startups in a daily agenda. With Workup by Is Bank being a 2nd best accelerator in Turkey in 2017, Hackquarters Founder Akin is now a guest speaker at the major global events like SXSW; Germany Investment Summit, Innovatours and other international events; and fellow at Young Transatlantic Innovative Leaders Initiative of German Marshal Fund of United States.

Retailtech Hub


The Retailtech Hub is an accelerator platform founded by the MediaMarktSaturn Retail Group in cooperation with the Plug and Play Tech Center from Silicon Valley.
