Tell us about your team.

Sorwe Team combines solid corporate experience, HR, and tech expertise. The team is 9 people with 4 engineers, 3 sales and business development, 1 graphicdesigner and the founder/CEO himself.Founder/CEO, Emrah Erturk, has a successfulentrepreneurship experience and 18 years of corporate background in top management levels in multinational organizations. Sorwe spent two years of R&D with HR experts and workplace physiologists, which they stillare part of the team as external consultants.

When and why did you found your startup?

Sorwe launched at the beginning of 2019 and gained exponential growth in recurring revenue with a diverse client base even in its first year. Either be a big corporation which has already thousands of employees or a scale-up experiencing a rapid hike in employee number, the problem is always the same; managing people. It is hard to sense what employees think and feel, maintain engagement, and keep talent. Making sure that all employees are engaged and highly motivated at work remains a top priority for an efficient and sustainable workplace. Sorwe's mission is to create a sustainable high-performance culture for the future of companies globally by creating Employee Experience and People Analytics with Digital HR services from a single platform.

What are your key and unique features?

Happiness Barometer has become the most popular feature of Sorwe so far. It gives the current and expected weather condition of your company. By measuring the happiness of employees as often as you wish, either daily or monthly, companies notice the sunny, rainy, or stormy departments and teams and can prepare targeted action plans.Another key feature of Sorwe is the fully anonymous feedback and suggestion tool for the workplace. Companies with high employee numbers receive more than thousands of suggestions, complaints, or feedbacks in short times. Who can someone really read them all and analyze to turn into action plans quickly?Sorwe can. AI-based Sorwe Analytics can categorize all of the text-based feedbacks depending on the topic, plus understand the emotional situations of the message.

What is your growth like?

In the last 3 months, our recurring revenue has doubled. We have gained 2 to 3 big clients per month with more than 1000 employees in the past 6 months. Sorwe expanded to the UK in 2020 after being selected to the Great Entrepreneurs Program (GEP) and expects to gain a rapid growth in the following months, coupled with the strong growth and positioning in Turkey.

In our first year, we serviced over 20,000 employees with diverse global clients such as Nike, Isuzu, BNP Paribas, Hugo Boss. Sorwe’s end-to-end Digital HR services currently are in use in 8 countries and keep growing.We work to create an impact on our clients and build the future of work together. Last year, we improved happiness by 25%, increased engagement by 45%, and lowered employee turnover by 8% on average for our clients.

What are your plans for next year and next 5 years?

In the next 5 years, Sorwe will operate with 6 offices in the UK, France, Netherlands, Poland, Turkey, and UAE. Sorwe aims to become the leading People Analytics company, given the strength in analyzing behavioral data. The focus is going to be in enhancing products that more detailed analytics can be delivered. Partnerships with various workplace technologies are now in consideration to merge the strengths and reach a higher user base.
