Startup Spotlight #25: UlakApp

November 15, 2019

In the Ottoman Empire, the messengers who conveyed important news or document from one place to another were called “Ulak”. This messenger organization had a very different systematic. In order to transport a new, a document or an item, first “Ulak” used to take the road. After the first “Ulak” had completed a day's distance, he would transfer what he was carrying to another messenger. The second “Ulak” used to continue the mission. Then the second messenger traveled a day and then handed over the task to the other messenger. This process used to continue until the goal is achieved. Thus, the messengers were less tired and the delivery man was vigorous and healthy at the time of delivery.Although it is quite surprising that the word “Ulak” gave its name to a technology company after centuries, UlakApp really deserves its name. UlakApp, plays an important role in the delivery sector and seems to show more in the coming years.
